尘沙

(塵沙, 尘沙)

Dust and sand, i.e. numberless as the atoms. Tiantai uses the term as one of the three illusions, i.e. the trial of the (sa) bodhisattva in facing the vast amount of detail in knowledge and operation required for his task of saving the world.
